Confident brushstrokes

The abstract expressionist movement in the 1950s New York affected the art world enormously and in the making of strong images, the canvas moved from the easel to the floor. Artworks interprets the times’ spirit with a design transferring mark-making, collage and the aesthetics of chance to the floor scape. The multi-level loop construction defines shapes, brushstrokes and layers in the three co-ordinated patterns: Angle, Assemble and Connect.
Designed by Carol Appleton.

The collection is made from regenerated and regenerable yarn, based on used fishing nets and other industrial waste. What’s more, the tiles have our patented Ecotrust backing, made from used water bottles. The carpet tiles are therefore a completely green choice offering countless aesthetic options.
The front and back of the carpet tile are joined together by recycled adhesive made from broken car windows.
